You are required to purchase a license when using Xrefactory beyond
its free evaluation period. The license allows legal use of Xrefactory
during unlimited time period. For more information about license
conditions please read
Xrefactory Java License Agreement.
Personal and Standard licenses
If you purchase personal or standard license, you will
receive a license string enabling the fully licensed execution and
eliminating evaluation warning messages. The license string is
permanently installed. The string will contain name of enterprise (for
standard licenses) or person (for personal license) making the
order. Licenses are restricted to binary distributions of
Xrefactory for Java. The license string will not work with
'Xrefactory-any-platform' distribution even if this is compiled and
installed under Linux or MS-Windows.
Enterprise and Site licenses
The main advantage of enterprise and site licenses is the possibility to use
Xrefactory-any-platform distribution. It allows you to
adjust Xrefactory implementation constants to your project size and
to use Xrefactory on any Unix-like platform.
If you register for the enterprise or site license, you will receive
a license string for pre-compiled binary distributions (see previous
point) and
an internet address where you can download
partially pre-processed sources of an unprotected version
of Xrefactory for Java.
The source code downloaded from given internet address
can be compiled on any 'Unix like' and MS-Windows
platform having standard ANSI C compiler
in the same way as its evaluation version.
Source code license
Xrefactory for Java source code consists of about 70 000 lines of compact
continuously refactored source code maintained
by its original developers.
The core of the system (80% of the code) is written in ANSI C. User interfaces
are written respectively in e-lisp and Java languages. User interfaces are
distributed in their source form, they are free
and available under open source license.
The real source code of the core of the system is NOT distributed
within any of packages listed above (the 'Xrefactory-any-platform'
distribution contains code which is
pre-processed by C pre-processor and is not suitable for further maintenance).
The real source code of the core
of the system can be purchased exclusively under particular license conditions.

information. You can print your invoice and you will receive your license
via e-mail shortly after the registration. A valid e-mail address is

1.) EVALUATION:
Free evaluation of Xrefactory is granted.
No other right is granted to non-licensed users for any other purpose.
The evaluation period will expire eight (8) days from the date of the
first installation of Xrefactory. The evaluation period can be extended
with prior permission from Xref-Tech.

2.) SOFTWARE: Xrefactory for Java until its version 1.7.6 and associated documentation is referred
as "the Software" in the rest of this document.

3.) BINARY AND SOURCE DISTRIBUTION: In the rest of the document the term 'binary
distribution' describes one of distributions containing compiled (binary) form of the xref task.
Those
distributions are platform specific and their names contain identification of
the platform for which they were compiled. In opposite, the term 'source distribution' is used
for the distribution containing (preprocessed) sources of the xref task. The source
distribution is not platform specific, and xref task has to be compiled before being used.
The name of source
distribution contains the string 'any' at the position reserved for platform.

4.) PERSONAL LICENSE:
One CPU personal license allows one single person to install
and use a binary distribution of the Software on a single PC with one CPU.
Personal license is restricted to binary distributions of the Software.
The Software can be successively
installed on several machines but can be installed only at one machine
at the time.
The license is personal not transferable to any
other person, in particular, no other person is allowed to use
the Software even when working on a machine having the Software installed.
The license is time unlimited.

5.) STANDARD LICENSE:
Standard licenses are sold on a 'per CPU' base. Standard license requires
registration of 3 CPUs at least. Licenses can be distributed to
different computers in a way that each computer
'consumes' as many licenses as many CPUs it contains.
Standard license is restricted to binary distributions of the Software.
The Software can be successively
installed on unlimited number of computers but can be installed only at licensed
number of CPUs at the time.
The Software can be used by any number of persons working
on machines having it installed.
The license is time unlimited.

6.) ENTERPRISE LICENSE:
Enterprise licenses are sold on a 'per CPU' base. Enterprise license requires
registration of 10 CPUs at least. Licenses can be distributed to
different computers in a way that each computer
'consumes' as many licenses as many CPUs it contains.
The license applies on both binary and source distributions of the Software.
The Software can be successively
installed on unlimited number of computers but can be installed only at licensed
number of CPUs at the time.
The Software can be used by any number of persons working
on machines having it installed.
The license is time unlimited.

7.) SITE LICENSE:
A single site license allows installation and use of the Software on a single
site. The number of computers and CPUs is unlimited.
The license applies on both binary and source distributions.
The Software can be installed on any number of computers owned or
rented by a single organization and placed in one building or in a
suite of buildings at the same location.
The Software can be used by any number of persons
working on those machines. The license is time unlimited.

8.) UPGRADES:
Any of mentionned licenses purchased for a particular
version 1 of the Software applies also on any other version of
the Software prior to the version 2.0.0. Free upgrades of the Software
until the version 2.0.0 are hereby granted.
Future versions of the Software prior to the version 2.0.0
will be available in the form of source distribution
and at least in forms of Linux and Windows
binary distributions. Availability of other binary packages is NOT guaranteed
(even if probable) for future versions.

9.) CONFIDENTIALITY:
Informations acquired by the registration are trade secret
of Xref-Tech. Users agree to not communicate them to third parties.

10.) ABUSE:
None of licenses mentionned here allows you to resell
the Software or its part to third parties. None of licenses mentionned
here allows you to decompile, disassemble, decrypt, extract, or
otherwise reverse engineer this software.

11.) SUPPORT: Evaluation users can benefit from free
installation and setup support during 8 days period.
Personal license includes additional free e-mail support
during one month period. Standard license includes free support
during 2 months period.
Enterprise license includes
free support during 6 months
period.
Site license includes
free support during 12 months
period.
Support periods start by the registration day.

12.) WARRANTY:
We guarantee that the registered product has the same
functionality as the corresponding evaluation version and it never expires.
Otherwise, this software is provided "as is" without warranty of
any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to,
the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular
purpose, or non-infringement.
